Nice w124 diesel for sale

This isn't mine nor do I have any affiliation with the dealer; though it is located near my home in SD.

Just thought it was a nice car for sale...

My car exactly -- plus 200K. That's a hefty price for a '91. With such low miles, though, it's a peach of a car.

My interior still looks new, with 275K. Car gets low-to-mid 30s mpg.

I bet the dealer would let it go for $2,000-$3,000 less than asking...try and find a better $12,000 hwy cruiser?

Sounds like a good value for the right buyer, with only 78K miles.

I'd give $6K tops for it.

Well those sure aren't leather seats and I bet it doesn't have ASD, as they state in the ad. Wonder what else they are stretching the truth about?

You're right: this car has MB Tex, which is preferable on a 19-year-old car (mine looks brand new). And it certainly doesn't have side airbags, either. I believe the '91 (including mine), had the anti-lock brake feature.

ASD is traction control. Yes yours does have 4-wheel ABS and a driver's side air bag. You might even have a passenger side air bag, as it was an option in '91.

I know MB tex is better than leather, that is what I have. My point is: the person selling the car doesn't know.

I agree, but I'm not sure about the Joe guy selling it.

No I was referring to No change oil Joe. I'm not very clear. I'm sure the guy in Oregon is fine.

This was the "300D 2.5 version, I think the engine is an M601 or 602, like the 603 engine with one less cylinder. The "rod-bender" 350 engine (punched-out 603) may also still have been available -- I don't know when they dropped it.

It's a 5-banger like the 617. I wonder if it's smoother? Hard to control things with one piston "missing." Supposed to be a good engine, reasonable power and good economy.

Isn't the 601 the 4 cylinder from the 201? the 2.5 is the 602 5 cylinder. The 603 is the 6 cylinder.

There smoking crack, and if someone pays that they are on crack to. For $15k in a W124 you better be buying a 500E or E320 Cab.

You could get a W210 diesel thats much newer, or a 10 year newer E320 for that kind of money.
