Difficulties getting u-boot back on straight...
I just bought new air intake seal rings that go in the u-boot (probably not the right name, I mean the part that carries air from the air cleaner down to the turbo), as the ones in there before looked like they had been in since '81. I have been trying to get the u-boot back on, but now it's too firm of a grip to get back on straight, especially the air cleaner side of it. I'm thinking I'm not simply not strong enough to push it on all the way. Are there any tricks to fitting it on easier?

Add a bit of oil to the new seal and a bit of oil to the air cleaner to assist with this. If you can twist it (which the oil will allow)..........you can get it to move forward. Warming the seal with a hair dryer will also be of a benefit.

I tried the oil trick to no avail, but the heat gun worked perfectly. Heated the boot up to 80 or so and it slid on on the first try.
