Sorry this was a post and should have been a follow up thread fir this post. ( http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/209802-simplest-least-problematic-heating-system-mercedes-i-think-needs-help-se-pics.html#post1722376 )

The lever behind the glove box doesn't seem to change anything if I manually open & close it. I can't see what controlls it to open & close. could this be my problem. The vac valve to the right behind the g. box doesn't seem to change things either when i manually open & close it. I'm not sure what controls it. since there really arent any vac valves back behind the console. I swapped out the AC/heat control dial and still no heat.
I found the green, orange, black striped wire that heads over the blower housing and towards the fire wall and just under the dash. I could not find where it would have connected to. Does anyone know. Maybe thats my problem.
Down toward the bottom left I found a yellow wire. I could not figure where it connected to. Any help on this one. IS there anything missing that could have been torn out when they ripped the CD out.
I know this can seem complicated but it is simple . No vac lines almost everything is controlled by calbe wires. I'M lost and stumpted. Help someone. RAY M

My bump - what model Benz? Off the cuff, I'd say valves control airflow. Dead end wires might lead to dash air temp sensor.

The only one I know is the 2nd pic with the pink vac valve. Thats the recirculate valve. When on max AC it is to close and draw inside air.
