Leaks will be the end of me!

The SDL's fuel system is leaking like crazy! Last fall I was getting a slight diesel smell in the cab, and figure something was leaking. I didn't see anything so I figured it was nothing, well sitting for a month will do amazing things for fuel leaks. The injector's are leaking at the joints! WTF these are 4 year old rebuilds. Indian Bosch junk! I learned my leason well, I will never replace original injectors again unless they fale a pop and spray test. 20 year old originals are better then this new junk! I'm going to yank them in a few weeks and take them to the local Bosch shop. I bet half of them are pissing. I think they have been slightly leaking all summer, it was slight so the fuel burned off when I ran it.

The IP or the fuel thermostat is also leaking! I suspect its the bottom seal on the IP.

Ever since the switch to ULSD I have been having pretty annoying fuel system leaks everytime I store the car! The ULSD must rot the seals or something if it sits. It looks strange in the pre filter, almost has a blueish tint. Last year the return lines, now the injectors and something else.

This is just the fuel system! I just finished sealing up the boost leak in the intake manifold, several boost leaks actualy. I need to rebuild the PS system because its puking fluid, and I'll take this chance to get a couple of oil leaks while I'm at it. I find if I don't take care of a couple a winter they get ahead of you.

Thankfully for now the transmission is not leaking! I think I may have won that battle, for the moment! I have also won the coolant, brake, and AC system leak battles! I will win the war!

I love German cars! Sealing leaks is like playing Whack-a-Gopher!

I stop/fix the gushers....the minor drips, I just provide them a nice landing spot! A large piece of cardboard on the shop floor to park over really helps my composure. As a bonus, it allows me to monitor existing escapes while scouting for new eruptions.

LOL, just think of each leak as a "restoration opportunity." It's just the benz gods way of keeping you from having too much free time/money to get in trouble.

I learned something from owning two Harley-Davidsons and now a Vintage Benz-They aren't leaking-they are merely marking their territory-like wolves...

Do they ever wonder why you always pay for your parts by sticking one dollar bills in the parts guy's belt?

J/K!

Last time I went I had like $200 in singles, big wad with a couple of $20's wrapped around the outside. Those girls like most girls are really good at getting your money!

But the nice thing about the strip club is that I can pay them to pretend to be interested in me, and then go somewhere else and not have them call me and pester me, like a GF. Its cheaper to!!
