Limited slip for a '85 300D?
Did MB ever make a 2.88 LSD that will go into a W123? If so, how might i get my hands on one?

They did not.
You may be able to have one built up from a 190 16v lsd and swapping out the carrier and the ring and pinions. Tom W

I'd be interested in hearing evidence to dispute of the following:
There was never a W123 sent to the USA with a limited slip differential.

Does someone disagree with that?

This is correct. In fact there was never a w123 with an LSD AFAIK. The question is can you take the diff from the 126 and swap the housing plate?
