Dangit Jimmy! I should've paid closer attention. I should've asked you about one of your fenders if it was rust free. Too late now. Oh well.

Scar was not at all rust free. Matter of fact, he was a rust bucket. Floors were rusted through as were many of the 1/4 panels. Sunroof stuff rusted also.
I got all the window regulators {fronts appeared new. even had receipt for the driver's in the paperwork}
At some point you have to let the car go. Sure, I might need something at some point, but I got most of the usual suspects and even some unusual stuff. Will just have to hit PNP at that point. Too bad about the windshield and back glass. Both were in good shape, as were the side windows which are down inside the doors.
And Jim, it doesn't make much sense to some folks for us to have an affection for our cars that are drivers, so is it that much of a stretch for an MB dork to have an affection for a useful parts car?
Plus, Scar spent a lot of time on guard duty out by the road......

Jimmy sent an email to you about some trim parts I may want to get off the car.

Which PNP did you bring it to.

Went to the pick and pull. Scar is not available for picking. Probably a week or so. It's still where you left it but they can't let me do anything to it due to insurance. I did go into the PNP and found all the things I need right not. The drivers B pillar trim, 240D Speedometer cable, ACC vent control amp and blower motor amp and switch, and a few other small things. So I'm set. I would like the items you mentioned on your Email.
Thanks

Dave

How come you are flaming people on "Diesel Discussion"?

Maybe you should do that down on "Open Discussion". I thought Diesel discussion flame wars were only about how often (or whether) to change your oil...

Yeah, right.

Sure, of course I would love one.

I couldn't imagine a faster way to get myself thrown out of this "gated community" than to have a junked Mercedes Benz parts car in my driveway.

Yup, except I don't know whether my neighbors or my wife would throw me out first.

I enjoy your posts Jim, and I've never known anybody with the kind of license plate knowledge you have, but, don't worry yourself over me and what I do!
My statement was 100% accurate.
It was no "war", just "discussion". And I only do Diesel Discussion, not Open......
