Homemade biodiesel it is an lubricant aditive!! Both fuel pump and injectors need lubrication, and the diesel you buy at the pump nowadays doesn't have the lubricity these cars need.
Runing even 40% bio and 60% diesel is perfect from low 10s in Michigan weather to 70s in Florida.

What do you mean by homemade illegal fuels??? The most illegal thing about biodiesel is that some people don't pay taxes, AND the other thing is the waste on the environment. I don't know how you guys make your bio, but I have seen people dumping their "washing water batch" aka grey watter in the fields!! NOT COOL!

I couldn't find the link. I think there are five states that don't require road tax on homebrewed biodiesel and WVO. I think Indiana, Illinios, NC, maybe Texas and one other. Just remember that doesn't include the federal road tax.

Tom
Tennessee does not collect road taxes on homemade biodiesel for personal use.

Save your glycerin, make soap. You could call your company the "Paper St. Soap Co."

You have the misconception that lubrication is a problem in these cars, its not. Rotary pumps like those used on the VW, 6.2/6.5 and 7.3L IDI do need better lubrication, our inline pumps do not.

Under specific conditions. BUT...there is a difference between veg. oil and ASTM grade home brew or commercial biodiesel. If you proudly flaunt your "THIS CAR IS FRYER GREASE POWERED - SCREW BIG OIL" bumper sticker you're biting the devil's tail.

Somewhere, I'd like to see the economic differences between not paying road tax verses sending the majority of the #2 costs oversees.

That does not matter. What does matter is not paying your taxes means possible felony and/or misdemeanor excise and sales tax evasion charges if you are caught.

So by that, you would rather continue to fund other countries than change a few laws here to help balance the massive trade deficit? My question was not based on the 'legal' aspects, but trying to see if reduction or exemptions of some taxes would help the improve the dollar's power.

I've yet to understand people's against Bio-Diesel while driving a cars modified to violate Federal Emission Laws?
