86' 300SDL Interior help...almost done restoring!

Some idiot before I bought my beautiful 86 300sdl (with only 140k original on it) installed a new radio and tore up the center console doing it...now, the console bows out on both sides and the wood trim that surrounds the shifter and houses the window switches floats freely because it was ripped up off the center console. How do I repair or replace this? Also, the trim above the back seat (the piece on the ceiling that holds the back seat light) droops down...how do I repair/replace this? (quick note...the trim is in fine condition...i would be fine just having it flush against the ceiling again). Pictures would be AWESOME!

not sure on the console, but I asked a similar question on the headliner, and got a response a while back, I don't remember the answer though... perhaps a search for headliner problems with my name in there would find the link...

no, I can't find it... basically they said to pull it out and fix the particle board support with steam I think... maybe get it wet and let is dry in the proper shape?

Center Console (shifter) - most common is the breaking of the rear tabs. Look down inside the console and see if they are there. If yes, using a real hot expoxy re-attach them. If no, you will need to get creative and engineer some new tabs. If you can get your hands on a plastic welder build up product on broken tab to desired length and grind and shape with a mini grinder.
