1985 300TD rear suspension

I know there's been a few threads about the auto-leveling suspension on the 300TD... I'm trying to digest it all.

I'm wondering if it's OK to run with the reservoir disconnected for a while?

I'm moving the reservoir to the right side of the car; I want the space on the left side for an unpopular (at least on this forum!) modification. I think I can relocate it pretty easily by:
1) rotating the hose barb on the pump 180 degrees
2) using a longer tube to connect the bottom of the reservoir to the pump
3) using some brake line to connect the reservoir to the existing 'hard line' that goes to the rear of the car.

Does anyone know the size of the tubing and fittings I'd need to buy to extend this brake line?

Can I use a smaller reservoir?

Thanks!

I don't think brake line will work. unless you properly connect both pieces

why don't you just burn biodiesel.. that way you don't have to hack up a perfectly good car
