Dateline Stuttgart, Germany. Sept. 1 1998

In a ceremony Mercedes-Benz today buried the past.

"It was time to give up the past and focus on the exciting new merger with Chrysler. We will now be able to finally get economy of scale and use the more efficient and cost effective Chrysler methods of engineering and manufacturing in all of our automobiles." said a statement from the new board of directors of Daimler-Chrysler.

"We chose to mark this day by erecting a monument to the old corporation.
What better symbol of the excess engineering and lack of cost controls that were holding the old company from making enough profit than a W123 class automobile." The Mercedes Benz W123 has been considered the most indestructible ever produced with over 98% of them still on the road over ten years since they were last produced.

The fist thing we are going to do is make sure that the quality of all Mercedes-Benz automobiles attains the high standards set by our Highland Park engineering staff.

Future plans include turning the "built like a panzer" Mercedes S-class into a 'K' car derivative.

Amazing Discovery by archaeologists today they have unearthed a remote ancestor of our current robotic leader Dr Z. Our beloved leader grew out of the ancient 21st century computer age, and matured into the leader we all know today. this amazing fossil discovery must represent a lost or wounded saver tooth limo, or possibly a once mythical onetwothreeasauraus. as only the skin survived the fossilization, it is unknown weather or not if this wonderful creature was a oil or a gas eater.

How about "Finally pried from his cold, dead hands, ..." or "He took it with him"?
