How much should I pay for a rebuilt transmission, 124?

'87 300TD

The transmission was rebuilt by someone in Oregon for Grease Works. The car was then sold to someone in Seattle who got in an accident shortly thereafter. The accident happened about 2 years ago. The guy who has it now bought it after it was totaled. He just recently pulled the transmission from the car. Should I be concerned that it has been sitting for 2 years?

I'm going to contact Grease Works tomorrow and see if they can give me any info on who rebuilt the transmission and what was done to it.

The transmission in the money pit has started to leak. The local guy said it is leaking from the servo(?) and he would need to pull it to fix that leak. I'm thinking while it is down and open, I might as well have the 2 second delay in shifting fixed as well. So if the rebuilt one will save me some money, I will use that instead of having mine rebuilt.

Thoughts, comments please.
