Only the Rancho Cordova PNP sorts out the MBZ's. The other yards have the MBZ's mixed in with the other imports.

The Moss Landing PNP is good because there is less traffic through that one so the hard to find parts are easier to come by.

and the big MB junkyard here in Memphis is NOT open on Saturdays, so for me to go hunting, I have to take a day off of work.

Yep, just heard it on the radio. Problem is, the Mercedes they have there I don't need anything from. I may go anyways, just to do a drive by and scope the inventory.

If someone sees a ACC I servo that has an aluminum body please snag it for me. It looks like a trash can with 20 vacuum lines sticking out.

Never seen one of those with the aluminum body in the yards. Isn't that the ACCII?

That's an updated version of the ACC I servo that addresses the issue of the case cracking by having it out of aluminum. I'm pretty sure it's called ACC I because it was the first version of the auto climate control MB used. (from chrysler) Probably a small chance of finding one but it's possible.

Windsor in the rain

I was met at the Windsor P&P by the Three Mercedesteers, Nik [SirNik84], Justin [?], and Garrett [turbobenz], who drove over from Sacramento in the rain. After discovering that the fog lights I got him from a 500SEC wouldn't fit his sedan bumper, he came to Windsor to get the SEC's bumper, which he thinks he can adapt to his sedan. Garrett found a few bits for his SD project and Justin helped me pull cruise amplifiers and a glow plug control unit/relay from the '87 gasser 124 and an '83 300D-Turbo. I passed along to Nik the steering wheel adapter that I took off of the SEC last week. On the way out, Nik spotted a VW Rabbit with yellow [aftermarket?] front coil springs and made a quick call to a friend. "Grab them" was the reply so grab them we did.

I also grabbed the 83's virgin ALDA (the tamper-resistant top cap had never been disturbed) and a few other bits and pieces that somehow fell into my toolbox. P&P doesn't have a place in their computer for "pre-glow time relay" so they called it a "large relay" and charged me $5 for it.

The hard rain held off until we were almost finished although it drizzled continuously. I stayed mostly dry in my rain suit but the others looked a little damp before they re-boarded Justin's wagon for the ride back to the valley.

Yes, I'm still up... barely.

Boy did I get a LOAD. Spilling over bits from my wheelbarrow

Stuff from a '76 240D all the way to an '87 420sel. Radios, climate units, headlamps, cruise amps, air bags, fuel distributor, glow relays, turbo charger, injectors, etc, etc, etc.

Good times, good laffs, great company

Picked up a set of 3-piece BBS wheels off a 300E(think it was a 300E at least). 16x7 35mm offset. Gold with silver lip, lots of tarnish. Ill have to do a bit of work on that. The centercaps were all there but the BBS logos are gone on two and the remaining two are in pretty bad shape. I did find the BBS hex wrench though, that was cool.

Stock Offset for the w123 is what..30mm? I think with the extra offset and rim width is going to mean spacers. No biggie.

A little while back I found an ACC servo with an aluminum body. I still have yet to get it to work. Probably the amplifier dealio.

Gavin
