Pick-and-Pull Half Price Saturday!

At my local Pick-and/or-Pull yesterday (Windsor, Northern California). Was told that Saturday (2 February 2008) would be a half-price day. Y'all might want to check with your P&P, see if they are doing that also.

Jeremy

Yep, the Dallas and FW location are having it also.
FYI, there are NO Mercedes left at the FW PNP. They have crushed the 230E with the Euro interior and several W126's, a W116 and even a W201. So, don't waste your time there.....

I was at our P N P yesterday to check on any new inventory. Yeah
another 50% off sale. hope the rain holds off for a while.

THEDON,--- what kind of black door panels are you looking for???
there is a 78 280 with black panels, if interested I`ll check closer on the
condition. and I think a 240 with black panels. do you need the arm rests?

checking their web site doesn`t show the sale.

Thanks

You go there, bring your own tools, find a car you want parts on and take what you need. You "pick n pocket" anything that will fit in your pocket, and the bigger stuff you just buy, and its realy cheap. Like drivers seat, 15 bucks. Blower motor, 20, which kinda sucks but it worked fine

I would love to do it if I were not snowed in up here in this moderately benighted place.

I wish people would take pictures of what's in the yard, while they were there, with which to torment us!!!.

Arrgh... The local equivalent is just about useless for MB's, and never on sale either!

You in CA are just taunting us up north, you know that?

Damn! Sometimes I wish I was in the USA...we've got nothing, absolutely NOTHING like that up here in Canada.

Generally speaking it's luck of the draw on the wheels. Sometimes there are wheels with vehicle, and on rare occasions there is even a spare in the trunk. (At least with W124 style wheels...) Most of the time the wheels are usually gone. Steel wheels a far more common than alloy ones. The other annoying thing is that if you get a wheel from PNP, they tend to try and charge for the tire as well unless the tire is flat or damaged. It's not as though a person can easily dismount a tire off the wheel at the wrecking yard either.

The Sacramento area PNP's seems to have a good assortment of W201's, W123's, W126's and sometimes W124's. There are three in the area, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin, and South Sacramento (Gerber Road). Only the Rancho Cordova PNP sorts out the MBZ's. The other yards have the MBZ's mixed in with the other imports.

The Moss Landing PNP is good because there is less traffic through that one so the hard to find parts are easier to come by.

W124 diesels are especially rare. W123 and W126 diesels are fairly common. Wagons are like finding a needle in a haystack.

I wish there were some PNP's closer to me, but I there aren't. I can only go to a PNP when I visit my in-laws in EDH or when I'm in Monterey.

I live 5 min from the pick and pull in rancho.

there are great pick and pulls in the bay area. i suppose its because it was import point, and there was more money there to have higher optioned cars. i got my euro lights at the pick and pull in Newark. last week i got a 123 euro light (for my best friends 1979 300D) from the pick and pull in Windsor, it had a broken lens and there was only one of them... but what the hell. i got it for 20 bucks.

Jeremy, i think i might be going back to Windsor, i think i need that bumper to mount those lights in. and Justin wants that tranny outta that 190e. if you go to the yard before Saturday let me know if those items are still there, and we can do out next parts swap
