w124 ip question

My 124 td has a slight delay in the throttle, like i just noticed it even more on a curvy windy road that as i pressed pedal the reaction was a bit delayed so i had to accomodate for this on the up and down curves,a friend of mines w124 rides very responsive and always on the up,could it be that i have a timing problem? kickdown cable or what?
iddle is low also.

When was your last air and fuel filter change? How are the vacuum tubes going to the ALDA?

Bowden cable and "Doggie Bones"

First check all the mechanical throttle linkages for proper length and lubrication.
Include the Bowden cable for your transmission.
If you have an impediment in the vacuum system that regulates the Turbo and
fuel enrichment it should be corrected. (Banjo Bolt, Etc.)

The 124 series doesn't use a banjo, just a vacuum line and clamp, but regardless it needs to be checked periodically for blockage, I also recommend checking the fitting at the manifold, associated with that vacuum circuit, mine was mostly blocked when i felt some power loss.
