changed fuel fliters, trying to take out the air..?
HELLO!! I just bought my first car last week, converted it to veggie, changed the both filters today, and now its having a hard time running. It will just barly turn then i have to force it (pedal to the floor to stay on) I'm not sure if I'm bleeding all of the air out correctly, that could be my problem, or spark plugs/airfliter??
It was running great, then it lost some power a few days ago, so i figured filter change.. i dont much experience under da hood, but im diving in belly flop style.. BIG MAHALOS!!- eric |

fuel bleed
Well, it's definitely not the spark plugs. Let's start there. If you find any in there, get rid of them right away!!
Probably your issue is that you've allowed air to enter the closed system. Bleed by opening the topmost bolt on the filter housing a bit. Pump the hand pump on the side of the fuel pump, and when you see fuel without bubbles coming out of that bolt hole, close it up. Should be good to go but sometimes it takes a couple of passes to get *all* the air out. KennyB 1980 300td |

And make sure that you are still not getting more air in. I found this to be an issue on my 84. Connections were not tight enough and caused more air to get in. Keep pumping that primer pump.
