240D into a 200D

What would it take to put a 240D Engine into my W110 200D.
Found out today that my engine is bum so I figure why not lets see what it will take.
Cheers

Relocate the oil filter and make new engine mounts.

I think a 240 from a 115 body will be pretty simple to swap in. The differences will be minor and be things that can be unbolted and swapped from your old motor. I don't think that includes the oil filter in this case. A later 123 motor would have that difference, though.

Ok, sounds good. Thank you very much for the info. I need to get on to doing something with my car, I would like to drive it. Rod knock is not a good thing. So we will see.
Cheers

Any updates on the status of changing the motor. Were you planning to put a OM616.912 or a 616.916 motor in?
