Where's the temp sensor?

I think my temp sensor for my climate control is toast. Is it located in right under the dash where the hole is, or is it on the other side of the hose toward the fan?

BTW, I am working on my '85 300CD, and I am trying to take resistance readings off of it.

right under the little grill, if the hose is off you will have similar issues as bad sensor

thanks, I'll check it in the morning. I already replaced the section of line that disintegrated.

It's either the grill part on the dash or on the other end of the hose that is attached to he grill part on the dash.

Be ginger when you pull the sensor out. The upper part of it is attached to the little grill I think, and its easy to break.
Here's what the lower half looks like...
