87 300TD Wagon - Opinions?

I'm considering whether or not to buy an 87 300TD wagon. I've owned an 83, which I am pretty familiar with. I'd like to hear from folks who are familiar with the 87 wagon, and the 6 cylinder engine.
I may be selling my Dodge Cummins (or offering to trade) to finance it.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

$10,000, but I already have the CTD.

You can probably find a nice one closer to home, if you take your time looking. Just be ready to buy when a nice example becomes available. If you have any questions after reading that write up, let us know. There are a few knowledgeable '87 300TD folks on here and many '87 300D folks.

I love mine.. I needed a wagon, wanted a diesel and loved my 300E. I think the 87 300TD is the only thing that fits the bill.. I wanted 4matic.. but you gets what you can get.

My wife drove one for 13 years.

Nice car, but more costly to maintain than the W123 cars.
Finally replaced it with a 95 E320 wagon several years ago.
She loved the 300TD, but I wasn't thrilled with the cost of upkeep.

The W124 chassis is a big step up from the W123 dynamically.
