74 240D Manual at the shop, broken

While checking out another car at my mechs shop I saw a light blue 1974 240D MANUAL tranny today. I asked about it and Joe told me that it was broken.
Owner replaced the IP just last month and a few days ago the timing chain broke. Owner then tried to start the car a couple times not realizing what happened. Owner doesn't want to put more money in an old car so there is a chance this car will see the junkyard.
I told Joe to let the owner know that CL was a better place to start, maybe someone in the area would want the tranny out of it, and the new IP.
Interior is great shape, body is decent for the age, just a bit of rust around the drivers back wheel well. Some on the front where rocks hit it. All doors close tight and all in all looks good for a 1974.

Will keep you up to date in case someone needs it!

Sounds like a good transplant candidate.
