Loremo 100 mpg+ diesel from Germany

Here it is. Wonder what took so long. It looks like it is going to be priced right too.

High mileage diesel

Like the man said, why shift two tons of steel around when you are only trying to move a 180 pound human. Er, sure I'm in, but lets just get all the Expeditions , Hummers and semis off the road first.

And I don't think I would like to tangle with a W126 in that either...

Id love this but yeah, I need a tank if im going to stand up to soccer moms in hummers. In my opinion 150mpg is not worth being dead if you get t-boned

And another problem, yes its extremely efficient but does it meet the insane emission requirements for nox in ca? I dont know how they measure this, but im thinking it may be like "for one gallon of diesel, a max of ____ nox can be released".

Pretty funky. It'll fare at least as well in an accident with an SUV or big ol' car at least as well as a motorcycle. If I had a good amount of daily driving to do I'd definitely look into it. Should it actually come.

They have my attention. So, you push the windshield/hood up and climb in and out of that space? That does look like it would be a bit cumbersome. I's like the mileage, though. Shoot! I'd settle for EIGHTY MPG. I'm not greedy. . . .

Yea - I'm thinking it will offer a little more crash protection than my Harley Davidson.

So, wearing a helment while driving it would be recommended?

that front end makes a very stable crash vehicle, no doors to buckle... two piece design, rigid and light. build it out of carbon fiber and hydroformed aluminum unibody and you got a VERY solid crash vehicle... only problem is it's inertia that gets you in an accident. 2.5 ton vehicle hits you at 35 MPH and you weigh 1 ton or less and you get battered like you were going 60... the vehicle is more stable, but YOU get to absorb more of the impact.
like the guy said, I would love it IF all the SUV's and Semis were off the road.
Great for the total defensive driver, but if you have cellphonitus or text messagealria while driving... you won't live long in it.

high mileage car

I'll believe it when I see it.

Me too! But it's ugly as h**l. I'd have to puke before I could get in it.
