Initial Euro Headlight Adjustment
My 300CD now has the Bosch Euro Lights. So far I have not been able to find any documentation describing how to set up the aiming of the lights. By this I mean where are the adjusting screws/ knobs located? Of course I have not opened the lights from the back so I imagine this is where the hardware will be found! For some reason I decided to show my ignorance on a public forum instead of just figuring it out for myself. I know why, I'm getting too lazy!

you dont have to open them they are long black knobs shaped like pencils...if you go to the dealer though they will do it for free..well should. If you adjust them find a empty street or a flat wall.

Thank you, I'll drag my lazy $%^ out there and have a look. The only knob I saw was the one on top that was basically a toggle with about 120 degrees of movement lock to lock. Or shall we say 10 to 2 on the clock.

The black adjuster on top is actually the up-down adjustment for the headlight and you adjust it just like the others. The toggle part of it is to manually adjust it (in case you don't have vacumm adjustment). Leave it in "normal" position and adjust the headlight in this position as well. Put the "toggle" in the other position when you have a heavy load causing the front end of the car to point up more than usual. Bosch lights are cool!
