83 300D Exhaust System Repair
I'm going to cheap out to fix my problem since the car is going to be sold soon. The head pipe rotted out. The secondary and muffler pipes and pieces look good for another few years. I am going to replace just the head pipe. Is there a gasket used at the manifold where the pipe bolts to the turbo outlet or is the only thing I need the gasket that connects the head pipe to the rest of the exhaust? Eight inches of snow on the ground, so I'm not getting to it anytime too soon. I plan to use all new rubber hangars, the 4 rings. Is the center pipe with the resonator supported in any way or just bolted to the head pipe?
Thanks Much.

IIRC the headpipe is flared to match the rounded end of the turbo. No gasket or doughnut.
