Personally I would gladly add another 50 cents a gallon to fuel costs if it meant our roads would be nice and smooth. They are getting so bad that its practically a death sentence to your car to go out driving! I have seen numerous holes/craters in the roads around here that are over 1 FOOT deep. The whole time you're driving you're swerving to avoid the enormous holes in the road. Its ridiculous.

Europe may charge a lot of tax on their fuel, but their roads are smooooooth and beautiful and they build them with better materials so they last a lot longer.

Paying more in taxes does not mean better roads. It just means the Government/politicians just have more money to waste. take the waste out of Government, and there is more than enough money to run this country.
Calif. use to have the California Highway Trust fund. then the Politicians finally got their hands on it, and now it goes into the general fund. Caltrans has to cokme to the table to get their yearly share. when we had the Division of Highways before Caltrans we had good roads.

Diesel at the corner Talaban station is $3.89. took a 20 cent hike. I felton its $3.52. I`ll see what it is today.
Bio Dieselis $3.49, but is only B5, down from B99 they use to sell. B5 that ought to get us off foreign oil really quick.

Diesel well be well into $4.00 this summer, can`t wait for next summer when it hits 5.00 .

My best friend is a Civil Engineer.
She says that roads that last for 50 years can be done but people just don't want to pay for it. It's really expensive and harder to get through if there needs to be some repairs done on lines under the road.

Paying $3.80 a gallon for Biodiesel (B20) in Arlington, VA. Trying to make a difference (and a statement) is expensive, but... it's worth it.

Thumbs down $4.00 Diesel

well today the wife and I did some running around and got a shock. We are 9/10th from $4.00. this morning the Talaban guy was $3.89. coming home this afternoon it is now $3.99.9. this is the highest I have seen it here in the Santa Cruz area.
The B5 station is now $3.59 and the station in Felton is $3.69. Just dropped $50.00 in the tank for 13.7 gallons.

If you do a 50-50 mix with waste oil and dino diesel, the cost drops and you'll be a happy camper.

Diesel is about $3.65-3.75 around here....$3.55 at the truck stops further away

They say gas will be around $3.50+ in a few weeks, and could surpass $4 by spring. Just imagine what that means for diesel!

Also, I happened to pass by one of the two stations in this entire area that carry biodiesel yesterday and checked the prices. Regular diesel at that station was $3.69, B2 was $3.72, B5 was $3.75 and B20 was $3.79

Why charge more for biodiesel....its stupid....just reduces the people using it.

Outer Banks of NC

Hatteras Island is like $3.89/gal. I fuel up before in Nags Head for like $3.49.

They say there's a $0.20 extra charge to bring it across the Oregon Inlet bridge, but I say it's BS. Most sellers out here try to make at least $0.30/gas profit.
