I had the same experience with my 240D. No battery light indicator when the alternator quit. How did you wire in your voltage guage and where did you mount it?

You'll find out in a few days/weeks. Yours may be OK, but the last time I ran one down (completely dead) due to a failed alternator it failed after about a week. That battery was only 6 months old (replaced under warrantee).
