What is Low oil pressure?

After getting the 190D up and running (from new nozzles) I got it up to operating temp (a little above 90c) and parked the car. The oil pressure gauge shows 1 bar at idle.

Is that to low? Is my oil pump going to go out soon. It has never done that before. The oil level is correct with a new filter and o-rings on the shaft.

not positive about that engine, but I think anything over 1 bar hot is good.

Approx 180,000 miles. Mobil delvac 1300 15-40. I think thats what it is called.

It does leak oil. I think from the pan, but I don't think that affects pressure, maybe.

Sounds normal....also your sender that senses the oil pressure might be getting weak/failing. Mine read almost 0 at idle when warmed up before I replaced it. After, steady 2 bar at idle. So I would suspect the pressure sender first.

And always be sure to check the oil.

My owners manual says that if the engine is good and hot, after a hard run, etc, anything down to 0.3 bar is acceptable at idle.

I've never seen one of these cars that didn't peg the gauge at road speed.

That's what mine does, too, pegs on acceleration.
