Comprehensive Craigslist Search tool for 300-series Diesels
Hi guys, I stumbled upon the Yahoo Pipes technology a couple days ago and decided to use it to create a tool that searches all 130+ Craigslist sites in the USA for 300-series Diesels for sale, consolidates the listings, and sorts them by listing date (newest to oldest). You can access the results via the URL below, or by subscribing to the RSS feed.
Website access: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=f48dbea0b81ce84233bd0e7fa6874176 RSS feed URL: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=f48dbea0b81ce84233bd0e7fa6874176&_render=rss I have filters set to exclude vehicles from 1986 or later, since I created this for my own early 80's purchasing wants. You can clone this pipe and edit the filters to your own standards. In the coming days I will modify even more to include eBay listings as well, so this feed will eventually be a comprehensive search across several properties for 300d/tdt/cd/dt/sd's. Hopefully this is helpful, if something like this already exists within the forum sorry for duplication :-) Feel free to make suggestions, this is just my first crack at the utility. . . lots of room to improve filters, etc. -Joshua |

Nice work! I'll have to figure out how to do that so I can find a w120 180D or a w121 190D.

Great work. I also thought it would be nice to be able to search Craigslist wide for miscelaneous things. I looked at the modules and could not figure out a way to easily enter a search term for the feed in a loop. I did find a search that does ebay and craigslist...

I will definitely do this, though. . . I want this to be as accurate and useful of an app as possible for all forum members. |

I don`t know how you did it, but thank you. Craigs list always seems like a PITA to look for things, where E-Bay just type in Mercedes diesel or what ever, and the whole world is there.
Now I need a MB shop button, E-Bay Button, Fast lane Button, Buy button on my key board . Charlie |
