Brake Question

Hello all,

I have a quick question about my brakes. I have a 99 E300TD and the brake pedal is really hard. I have to put a lot of muscle into pressing the brake pedal. I know that if you have air in the brake lines, then the pedal would be very soft, but what makes it very hard?

thanks

Low vacuum to the booster.

Probably either a failed booster or a broken vacuum line. Look under the hood for any vacuum lines hanging loose.
