different shifter knob LOOK

I collect antique beer memorabelia. I've got an old schlitz beer ball tap knob on my 240 manual. This is a nice one. They can be adapted with a little time. There are some really great ons offered on ebay. RAY M

True story; I worked in a nuclear power plant where the operators had installed different beer tap handles on the control room levers for the control rods. They really liked it because it made them easy to identify (which sorta made sense). They were installed for many years until a new VP showed up and was not amused.

I did a contract at a nuke plant, couldnt eh hem pass the background check eh hem so I spend 3 weeks with a hello my name is badge on. My fellow contractors all had nice badges with radiation detectors. Lemme tell you those are peace of mind, which I certainly didnt have.

That is a custom knob I made. I designed the logo and had it laser engraved on the knob.

In anticipation of the manual swap scheduled for this weekend, I made this shifter knob.


It started out life as this:


and this:

I painted the emblem black and removed the white paint on the star and polished it up. It sits in a recess in the knob. The whole thing is covered in resin epoxy. I'm quite pleased how it turned out.
