Diesel Purge

Tried it today. Finally was able to get ahold of some here.......very difficult, anyways it made no difference. Ran 3 cans through. Power delivery feels a tiny bit more linear, not as stepped as before but it could just be me thinking that.....anyways...it's not that impressive. At least in my experience.

I have no doubt that it has done some good things for some people, I guess my engine is just running as it should. I drive it pretty hard when I can. If Italian tune up means anything then I guess I'm an Italian driver

I didn't notice any difference either, but I did it shortly after purchase and felt better as I didn't know the history.

It feels good

It feels good to purge.

I was parked on a sandy soil, and saw the crap coming out. Did you rev the engine throughout the process?

It took mine about 15 min or so to get through 2 bottles. How long did yours take with 3?

I purged my engine and noticed no difference either. As a matter of fact even half way through a 2 bottle purge the remainder was just a little tinted... no crud at all coming out of my engine which was nice to see.

And I wonder why I have held the opinion that it is another bottle of snake oil. I am suspecting the results are placebo effects. That is why I test all mods with the wife. She doesn't know squat about cars so her opinion is the least affected by the expectations.

If you want clean injectors, I suggest you get them out to a shop and have them cleaned and tested. I don't think there is much to clean in the IP since it is constantly moving.

I have seen the stuff come out pretty black especially after going through the IP a few times (two hoses to a clear glass jar method of deilvery). If it looked clean for you then your IP and lines are probably already clean. I can understand cleaning a clean engine not making much difference...

Yes, that is not necessarily a bad sign. If it was clean before the purge, you wouldn't notice any difference.

Mine was tainted pretty bad, leading me to believe it was working. I was pretty happy with the results the one time I have done mine. I am staging #2 purge now, with a valve adjustment as well.

I ran the engine hard on the purge. I would agree with placebo affect. It probably took a good half hour to run through most of the purge. On the note of the fluid turning dark, I will run a test of plain diesel in a purge setup and see if it starts to change color aswell. I'm guessing that It will.

Anyways it may seem a bit smoother but I think I just want it to. For such a highly regarded product though I thought that it would have been more impressive. On the note of crud coming out of my exhaust the patch of black soot that I can leave on the ground was no different than any other morning that I floor it and see what it leaves on the street.

PS I will say that the fluid in the end of my container was quite black....but again even just diesel ran in that situation might produce that.

It could be the dirt from the injectors or whatever. However, if you are trying to clean the injectors, there are better ways. Remove it and have it tested.
