Turbo Diesel Engine in a 220d?
Can 300 (turbo) diesel engines be made to fit into a 220d?
Would I get better mileage out of the 220d with a more powerful engine? Anybody every try this? Please give me the details. Thanks, Alan H.

Ditto, do the filter relocation and it will fit. You'll also loose about 10mpg over your current engine.
