Hmm the gauge starts at zero, and then smoothly rises to 3 bar shortly after the engine starts up. No problems starting, no smoke, a bit of valve clatter for a few seconds, then it smooths out and feels good?!?

My oil pressure gauge stays at 45 psi when cold, even at idle, and drops just a little bit on warm idle after easy driving. It drops down to about 30 psi after a good run on the freeway though.
