Frick Turbo Seal Rings - 300d

well, i got the Utube back on there and the seal on the air cleaner is lining up, but I can't get it over the hump for the life of me. i pushed for probably 30 minutes and it won't go any further. even used the hair dryer to heat it up. i am completely fatigued. any suggestions? (i am ridiculously strong, so no comments to hit the weights)

p.s. there is a little wire with a small black plastic thing that is loose behind the air cleaner. what is that?

I used a heat gun to heat up the seal and the U-tube before I put them on the air cleaner. That way I could rotate it around and heat it evenly. A minute or so with moderate heat and it slid right on.

You can also lubricate it with a bit of WD40.
