Starting good with the extra jump may mean a bat. issue and the engine is not spinning fast eneough when cold. next time have him jump the car without doing anything, and see if it starts, may also be a bad cable that is breaking.

My starter died right after I bought my car--it would turn over but not catch as it was spinning too slow. For some reason the 616/617 engines seem to wear out their starters a lot faster than the typical gasser engine.

My 2 cents. It sounds like you have a possible fuel delivery issue. Disconnect the brown vacuum line going to the shutoff valve and try to start it. If it starts up then you probably have a problem with you ignition vacuum switch. My paper thin theory is that the switch is not releasing the vacuum and is keeping your IP "off" even though you are cranking. Good luck!

I have narrowed the problem down to fuel delivery.
I think that one of my injectors has a tiny leak. I will try to get a pic of it and post it so you all can continue with the help.
