Broken Throttle Linkage? Help Needed to Identify Part
While cruising down the freeway my pedal suddenly hit the floor, there was no response when pushing down the gas pedal. I pulled over and saw the rubber bushing on the firewall that the throttle linkage connects to had separated. I pushed the black rubber part back in and connected the metal piece using the ring from my keys to make it home.
Does anyone know what this part is? Should the black piece easily pull out like it does? I need to order a new one correct? I've attached a pic taken after getting home. Thanks for the help! |

rebuildable
I have been successful rebuilding with PVC or nylon pipe and epoxy and/or RTV. Email me if you are interested in more details. The job is to find the right pieces of stuff laying around that fit in the hole. Have been running a rebuild unit for a few years with no problems.

It goes on two ways, but only one is right. I thought mine was the only one that's broke the nylon.
