Anybody know of good mercedes junk yard in Philly?

Was junkin' around this morning...went to a bunch of salvage places but found only one 123 chassis and NO Mercedes diesels at all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

heres a good link for junkyards, theres quite a few in philly... but I don't know of any that have mercedes :(

Best place for w123s is Crazy rays in MD, its 2 hrs from philly, but it might be worth your time if you have a long list of parts you need. Theres one in Jessup md and a better one by the Key bridge east of baltimore.

Where was the 123 chassis, and how rusty was it?

:( Completely struck out in the south philly junkyards off Passyunk... affectionately known as the greasy triangle. Went to Shortys and several others... I need an axle and a turbo air cleaner housing for my 300d.

Let me know if you find anything Mister B.......I haven't had the time yet - but I've been meaning to hit some local yards up.

IIRC, the junkyarding forum indicated that a yard up in New Ringgold is the best for MB parts - but that's not in Philly.

I've called the yard in York and emailed them - but no response yet.....I suppose I just need to stop by and check out the inventory.

Gonna try KOP tomorrow, Deloren on the JY forum mentioned a place up there that might have a one...

I've never been to New ringgold, I'mm googlemap it.

If I wasn't such a sissy, I man up to the 5 hour roundtrip and goto crazyrays east of baltimore, the always have W123s.

The short answer to the original poster of this thread is 'no'

There is a guy in Havertown who does only European cars.

Continental Auto Parts (google him).

He doesn't do the self serve pick a part thing and his yard is very small, but he is very knowledgeable about MBs and a nice guy to boot.
