Euro bumper question

Is the bumper I got an original or repaired/rebuilt/modified/etc? I ask because it does not look like something Mercedes would make, the holes were cut with a torch and the structure just looks crude....
Outside it looks like an average Euro bumper.

On a side note, I got those 300D manual parts.

It looks like a repaired bumper to me. It looks great on your 240. How are you going to handle hiding the US bumper bracket hole?

For now I plugged the hole with the rubber plug that was filling the euro bracket hole underneath the US bracket.

I'd be interested in seeing your permanent solution. If I find euro bumpers for my wagon, I plan to JB Weld a piece of sheet metal to the inside and use the JB Weld as spot glaze on the outside to fill the remaining recess, then spot paint with an airbrush.

Thats the trouble with going to a euro bumber, your left with that little hole forward of the rubber end piece. Also the paint is not faded where the longer rubber was but I still think the euro bumpers look better.
