Headlight switch 1991 300CE
 

My headlight switch wont stay "out" when i pull it for the fog lights to come on. If i hold it out, it the lights come on, but as soon as I let go of it, it pops right back in...Also, what is the difference between the first pull out position and the second one??

The switch should stay out if the parking or headlamps are on (the two positions to the right of off).

First position out is front foglamps, second position out is front and rear foglamps, which lights the dot in the switch and the foglamp in the left tail-lamp.

Do you know what would keep this switch from staying pulled out...I pull it out, but it doesn't "catch" and stay out...it just pulls right back in when i let go of it...
