Lightbulb Shifter LIghts 300D

my light are out on the shifter and all the windows switches are out too. How do I get inside there to check on the bulbs? or are they part of the same fiber-optic "spiderweb" from the central console?

What car do you have? In a 124, it's a bulb. In the 123, it's the fiberoptics. I can give more details if it's a 124, but the 123, these other guys will have to give you the rundown.

on a 78 300D it's a bulb bulb for the shifter since I did my girlfriends way back, since hers had the old chrome window switches I couldn't tell you about that. What year is the car?

My 123s also have a bulb for the shifter, I believe it was this one:

http://catalog.worldpac.com/mercedesshop/sophio/quote.jsp?clientid=catalog.mercedesshop&cookieid=1CQ0J3JZ42BS158QHJ&baseurl=http://catalog.peachparts.com/&partner=mercedesshop&year=1983&product=Y4000-14063&application=000033370

It's separate from the window switch lights, so the problem may not be the bulb if they are all out.

It's been a while but I think there should be a wire going into the side of the box where the gear lever is. If you pop that wire out of the side it should have the bulb on the end of it and you will be able to figure out which one you need to order.

yes you will need to get underneath there to get to the light. Remove the ash tray and there are two screws that should be holding your wood trim in. Once you get the trim out, the light should be accessible from the drivers side.
