I am eager to meet other 220d owners in the greater Portland (Oregon) metro area. I live in Forest Grove and am the owner of a 1972 220d/automatic. This car is not yet out of the woods with a variety of maladies. I am eager to meet people with whom to collaborate on repairs and from whom I might learn more about doing my own maintenance of this and other vintage mb's I plan to purchase in the future.

I don't have a 220D, but I am in the area.

I am certainly not close to your area, but I did drive our 1968 220D for close to 20 years. Did most of the work on it except an engine overhaul. Would be willing to participate in working thru your problems, as it appears that there are not too many of these fine old diesels still running around the country. When it was being driven, ours made it to such far away destinations as Tampa/St Pete, Victoria Island BC, Toronto and almost to El Paso.
