removing a/c lines to pull motor?

Is there anything special you need to do with these to pull the engine?

Thanks.

After it's evacuated, they definitely need to come out. Nothing too difficult, the hardest nut to get to is behind the alternator.

Why are you worried about the A/C system????

Just pull the compressor and lay it to the side.

Then you don't have to worry about any A/C issues.....

Figured that was the easy way to pull the engine.

if you are pulling the engine on the W116 just unbolt the AC compressor and move it off to the side.

Guess I should have looked to see what car you were pulling the motor in.

Guess I could have mentioned that...didn't think it was really important, as I assumed I was just going to be removing the lines.

I guess it's possible you could have given us less info.
I'm still fuzzy on the details, but are you pulling the engine out of a W116 parts car? So nothing going back in?
I pulled and installed an engine in China with the AC system still pressurized and moved outta the way. If this is a parts car I'm assuming you will also be keeping the AC hoses?
Had it been your sold '77 300D a York compressor isn't able to be moved outta the way. Matter of fact, seems like I remember you have to take half the front of the engine apart to get it off..... Awful bracket that thing lived on.

It's coming out of a parts car that I stole the tranny from, and no going back in. She's rusted out beyond safety.

Speaking of which....
