i grew up in corpus. while you are there, take the ferry from aransas pass over to port aransas (read: fun). there is a great little restaurant there called "shells" and the owner is the chef is the cook who used to be the chef for the country club in wimberley. all gourmet menu at about $12 a plate. most menu items are italian inspired with a sushi attitude. it works well. plus, port aransas is right on the gulf with the real beach with sand dunes and stuff. have fun.

Zeke, if you grew up in San Marcos, you should have met Tyler there and had lunch at Herbert's! I think San Marcos would be a great place for MB get together....meet at the park, float the river, chow down on a Herbert's special, maybe a run through the Hills toward the lake...makes for a day to remember.

We actually thought about it...we went to SM Sat. morning to visit the parents (and so my wife could go to a baby shower), but decided it might be too much to coordinate.

Anyway Tyler, next time you are in the area, we'll go to MANA's (better than Herberts IMNSHO )

Or our new favorite place Casa Maria's. ...We just went for the first time Sat. night (yup Tex-Mex 2 days in a row....life is good here in Centex!) and they do have cheese enchiladas with no meat!!!!

Ok, this is devolving into OD discussion, I know....but Tex-Mex rules!
