Are you talking about a 240 auto to 240 stick conversion? If yes, then just take the parts off of the 240 stick and put them on the 240 auto bearing in mind that the flywheel could be balancing the crank assembly. The difference is you don't have to monkey with driveshaft lengths and cross-members. Everything is just a straight swap.

Do you mean that they might have different flywheels and it is used to balnce the crank?

automatics dont have flywheels...

They have a flex plate which is attaches to the torque converter.

The flywheel on a manual is balanced.

Converting a 240D auto to manual is fairly straight foward. No changes need to be made. However converting a 300D manual is a lot of work. You need to modify the driveshaft or get hold of a euro 300D and pull the manual tranny parts of it.
