retrofit to 300TD
 

a crazy thought, but would like to know if anyone has put a later diesel engine into a 300TD (i have an '83 wagon).
Don't bother to tell me it's a crazy thought, i know it.
But would like to know if anyone has tried (what happened)?

The was a fellow who was in the process of installing a 1.9L TDI but disappeared half way though.

I would love to find a 606 and drop that in... or in one of my crazier days, put in a duramax... and some honking big springs... or a front SLS as well...
let us know if you try something.

I almost bought an om603 to put in my w123.. It will work.. but it requires $$$

not that much but the engine, fabrication, and time
