Ignition housing screws help please read

The three ignition housing screws came loose and I'm trying to tighten them back into the ignition. It seems that I need to take the electrical plug off the screw housing to get to the screws. Before I break something I just wanted to ask anyone who is familiar with this. It seemed like the electrical connection didn't want to come off like a regular mercedes plug with a screw driver. The second picture shows the center rod/pin that seems to keep it together.?

Key in proper position.

Been there, done that. They key has to be in the correct position for that plug to come off without damage. There is a "T" shaped connector in the center of the cylinder which has to align with slots in the black plastic connector. DO NOT PRY WITH A SCREWDRIVER. Also, don't ask me why I know not to pry with a screwdriver.

When you get it disconnected, you will see how it works.
