I just wonder how people can delude themselves into typing that BS. Unless its a joke.

I got much better than that in My SDL going from Southern Va to WV. Of course it was riding on a flatbed truck;)

Maybe he doesn't count the VO? I bet he can get 80MPG when you only count the diesel he uses to start and **** off the engine.

I just hate to think that somebodyis going to buy this car for the incredible mileage and then b*tch about how crappy W123's are when he ONLY gets 30MPG

It's just craiglist in competition with ebay perhaps. Watch for the escalation now on ebay.

He certainly means miles per gallon of diesel. Could've been more specific, but doesn't seem to be under the influence of anything.

I put in the frybrid system (frybrid.com). I figure MPG on the actual diesel that I have to pay for and use to run the car. The waste vegetable oil (WVO) that I put in is free. I collect it from restaurants and use it to run the car in my second tank. So when it is running on this I am driving for free. So this is a blended number. Lots of people are doing this and getting the same results. I am happy to discuss or answer any additional questions, just call me if you want.

Or 20 mpg.

Biodiesel300TD 04-09-2008 02:32 PM

I think what he is claiming that he is getting that milage for the fuel he pays for. I run WVO in a two tank setup and I filled my tank the other day and I used 7.5 gallons of fuel and drove over 600 miles, which yields 81mpg of diesel. So if you only use the gallons of diesel I used to calculate the milage you get a much higher number. In reality I still only get somewhere in the 20's for milage.
