warning to e300d owners

just a freindly warning alternator pulley cam off with no noise at all , driving on highway battery light came on evrything else looked normal , then temperature just shot right up to danger levels shut it down coasted to curb , puuley came right off had to get towed, hopefully head is good,

Weird. Thanks for the warning

Anytime I get a warning light or an odd noise, I like to check to make sure they're nothing serious afoot. My wife thinks I'm a paranoid nut, but diligence has saved me more than once.

Hope the head is OK!

well one tow and pulley wheel back on everything seems fine, dont get it pulley wheel just screws on no nut to hold it in place (locktite now does)

These can also cause belt vibration. I had mine done 2 years ago.
