Question Can anyone post some good photos of their vacuum lines?

I'm wondering if someone has some good underhood photos of their W123 300D turbo diesel? I would like to compare them to my vacuum lines to see how they are supposed to be routed and what fittings are used. Good unmolested ones are preferred please. Links to large files are perfect.
I have mine working but I have some doubts about them.
THANKS!

I was ready to post mine but found out yours is an '84.

Nonetheless if it helps: http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=335175

That was taken in late 2005. Last year I took the liberty to remove the EGR vacuum lines.

I wish my engine looked as nice. That's really clean. It's very similar to mine as the engine I have is an 84 fed version. I'm trying to figure where those yellow and green valves go.
It's an excellent start.
Thanks.

Thanks, on mine at least, the yellow check valve goes to the central locking while the green one (I assume you're talking about the dashpot) go to the top of the vacuum control valve, behind the ALDA. I think yours would already have the Kilma relay near the brake booster plus a vacuum transducer behind the right headlight. At least that's how I remember '84 model turbos. Or maybe the Kilma relay is only for '85?

Those photos are great. I have a vacuum transducer next to the passenger side headlamp but that is for a CA version. I no longer have a CA version engine but it is the same year.
Refresh my memory please. What is a Klima?

Not exactly sure of the name but it's the blue round disc like device near the brake booster, I think it's called Kilma or Klima, and is also linked to various vacuum bits like the ARV for the '85 turbo (hence my uncertainty if it also applies for '84 models). From what I remember it also acts to amplify the vacuum supply into the various bits so the transmission shifts smoother.

Here's a quick eBay search for an '85 300D and if you look at the brake booster area there's a blue device, that's it.

I had one on the 85 I used to own. Mine was a CA version. I don't recall if there is one near the vacuum valves near the headlight on my 84.

Those are big enough, thanks. I'm not really planning on fixing my EGR lines. It "works" fine the way it is.

Alternatively, maybe you can post pics of your car's vacuum lines and see what others can comment on regarding your setup. That might be easier than waiting for somebody to post the correct pics. Just an idea of course.

Judging from Too Many MBZ's post, it looks like in that area, the '83 and '84 have similar lines.

That's a good idea. I could get some good comments on the mess I made.

OK here's the photo you've all been waiting for.

Here's the best photo I managed to take of my vacuum lines. I kept it simple but I'm sure I've left off something. It seems to work OK except for my climate control vents.

On my 84, the nipple closet to the fire wall goes to a four way connector, one from the nipple, then to a brown line, like you have, just the one, and one to the green hard line, climate control, the last to a check valve that splits to another check valve, CD only.
The nipple closet to the vacuum pump goes to a three way connector, one from the nipple, one to a green vac damper valve to the VCV, the other to the transmission, black hard line.

Nothing unusual, have to crop pics I've already posted.

Closest, is the proper spelling!
