No License/No insurance

I'm sorry, but step up to the plate, man. The reason I have to pay "uninsured motorist" fees, is because of people like her, who ... are UNINSURED!

AND with no license???? What were you thinking! This is unacceptable, period.

Big mistake. If you have her info, correct your wrong move. Call the police. People like her shouldn't DRIVE a car. Maybe the police won't ticket her at this stage, but they can make her life more SAFE for the rest of us.

Amen to THAT..... Illegal to drive without a license... turn her in.

I used to drive an 81 caprice wagon diesel... I got rear ended by a drunk driver in a little red something... I was not moving, and he slammed into me going at least 35MPH... his girlfriend went partially through the windshield... she must have been at least 250LBs... anyway, he refused to give me his license, and was scared and left the scene saying he needed to call an ambulence... the car never drove right again... I really pity that SOB...I hope karma gets him back.
NEVER NEVER let criminals off just because it didn't hurt you. 911 911 911.
they got away with it with you, they will do it worse to the next guy, maybe even kill somebody. it's on you with karma now...

I agree that everyone should carry insurance, but they will take your license away for anything these days, with impunity. I personally didn't have one for over 8 years, for unpaid fines due to operating a friend's VW microbus that unbeknownst to me had a lapsed registration. Consequently, I can smell crown victorias at 3/4 of a mile. Not driving is not really an option for 99% of the populace.

Some states, perhaps most, have uninsured motorist coverage which kicks in after a certain deductible. If it weren't required by law, I wouldn't even carry insurance, it's a racket and I've never known anyone who benefitted financially in the long term by having it. In fact the rates are set by extremely complex formulae that assure the insurance companies of profit. Off the soapbox..

The business next door to ours employs about 40 people, it 'appears' that there are quite a few illegals, i know that statement is hard to quantify, but trust me, I am fair...
Anyway, I have been the victim of 2 hit-n-runs, in the parking lot! (it's a common driveway) How you smash a parked car is beyond me, but what is not is the abiltity to call 911, pronto. Use the system, they do.

911 is certainly not for having a parking lot accident in which no one is hurt, nor would it be for any accident where no one is hurt.

I disagree... What are you supposed to do, look up the local police station in the phonebook when you have an accident? I use 911 all the time when I am on the road to report people stuck on the side of the road and the occasional idiot or obivously drunk driver. Just last Friday I used it to report a clapped out pickup truck going up I-78 with NO LIGHTS at all. This was at 10pm. He was a hazard to himself and to others who could not see him. The 911 dispatcher puts you on with the highway patrol and goes away.

Not so lucky

I was rear-ended on my left rear quarter-panel by a Jaguar. The Jaguar had a scuff-mark on his front bumper, my Benz had huge damage. His lousy (Geico) insurance wrote it off and gave me a lousy $2200.

I have to agree.

What if she had no license because of 3 DUIs?

And she goes out to party again tonight!

I posted that almost 6 years ago. But I stand by my view, you break the law, you get jail. No free pass for people not following the rules, if I follow the rules, so should everyone else.

I have had a chance to review the legal system up close but without personal involvement. The police and DA's office is as corrupt as the criminals. We have turned the "criminal system" into a business. Police look at everyone as a potential revenue source - as in write a ticket, lock them up &make some money.

We are at the point where police can accuse you of some crime and confiscate your assets before you have been convicted of anything. It is impossible to mount a good defense without assets. So much for the Land of the Free and Fair, Just and Equal legal system.

A friend of mine happens to be an attorney. According to him, drugs flow from Memphis East. Money flows from East back to Memphis. Which side of the road to the police set up on....you guessed it, the North side of the road where the money is. So much for the interest in crime prevention.

Regarding "illegals", where did we get Texas and CA? What was the name of that war where we took the land from Mexico? Mmmmm Mexicans living in what was Mexico how strange is that? No papers? Since when are we required to keep an ID on us when we aren't driving? There has been no draft for quite a while and Selective Service card was the only required ID when the draft was in effect.
