In my search for a donor car for a motor swap...

I found this car and he told me it only had a few rust spots, so I asked him to take close ups and I think one, if not two is the jacking points starting to rust through, but I need to know the opinions of people who know more than me.

Pictures;

I'd avoid that car. If it's like my 190e was, there is a lot of rot under there!

If there is rust around the jack holes on a 190 you can be sure there is much more hidden under the surface.

yeah, that's what I was afraid of, that car was perfect too (other than rust), 5spd, decent body, $500...

O well.

How far are you from St Louis? I have no idea how much rust is on this car, but it might be had awfully cheap. The guy's been trying to sell it for ages.

On a side note, just a random question, does the transmission in my 190 interchange with a 300d's? I just found a 300D with tranny problem for cheap near me and my trans is fine so I was thinking I could use some parts off my car for that one and have a decent 300

This one is about 50 miles further from me than the one I posted pictures of so it's not to bad. I appreciate you pointing me to it. I'll look into that one and get back with you.

I just called about this one; sounds like it's ready to run, though, and would be too good as a donor car. Seller says it's a 190e, gas, 5 speed, several new parts, claims no rust:
