Thanks. I guess it's a PINION then, not a BENDRIX. I took the solenoid apart last night and cleaned it up, but it's still the same.

I guess I need to look at the rest of the unit now, especially the shift lever. Once th solenoid was off, the shift lever seemed to work fine.
